This policy explains what Bookkeeping Prompts ("we") collects when you use bookkeepingprompts.com, and what we do with it. The Site has no accounts, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
Page analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. Vercel says it uses no third-party cookies. It recognizes a visit by a hash of the request instead of a cookie, and drops that session after 24 hours. Vercel also says page views are recorded anonymously, without being tied to a person or an IP address. We see totals such as page views, referrers, countries and device types. We also use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which sites or links sent people here. Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Saved workflows
When you save a workflow, the list is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or removing items on the Saved page, deletes it.
Submissions
If you use the submission form, what you type is stored privately so we can review it. That includes the workflow details and source link, and your name and a website or profile link if you choose to add them. Our host also records standard request data, such as IP address and time, in its server logs. The form does not ask for an email address and rejects text that contains one. Nothing you submit is published automatically, and we use submissions only to review and write directory entries. Submissions are covered by the Terms of Use.
Newsletter (Kit)
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address, the page you signed up on, and the time. The list is hosted by Kit (kit.com), our email service provider, which stores subscriber data and sends the emails for us under its own privacy policy. Signup is double opt-in: Kit emails you a confirmation link, and you are only subscribed after you click it. Kit may record when an email is opened or a link is clicked, which helps us see what is useful. We use your address only to send the newsletter and occasional updates about the Site, and we never sell or share the list. Newsletter emails come from hello@bookkeepingprompts.com.
Unsubscribing (CAN-SPAM)
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address, as the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act requires. One click removes you, and we honor every request within 10 business days. You can also unsubscribe by emailing hello@bookkeepingprompts.com.

Children under 13
The Site is meant for adults running or working on business books. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your data requests
To ask what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email hello@bookkeepingprompts.com with the subject line "Data request". We may ask you to confirm the request from the address involved, and we reply within 30 days. Data in your own browser, such as saved workflows, you can delete yourself at any time.
Hosting, links and retention
The Site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data to serve pages. Links to other sites, including our sister store ReconciledBooksCo and book pages on Amazon, are covered by those sites' own policies, and those sites may set their own cookies once you arrive. We keep submissions and emails only as long as we need them for the purposes above, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes to how we use newsletter data, we will tell subscribers by email.
